This tasty spin on skillet apples gets a fiber upgrade thanks to crunchy green cabbage. Pair with roasted pork tenderloin or chicken.
Ingredients
- 3 cups apple wedges
- 1 1/2 teaspoons unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 3 cups thinly sliced green cabbage
- 1 1/2 teaspoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup pomegranate arils
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
How to Make It
Cook apple wedges in unsalted butter in a skillet over medium 5 to 6 minutes. Stir in apple cider vinegar, light brown sugar, caraway seeds, and ground allspice; cook 1 minute. Add thinly sliced green cabbage, unsalted butter, kosher salt, and black pepper; cook 2 minutes. Top with pomegranate arils and chopped fresh dill.
